I have a problem with the sweep nurbs tool; as shown in image below i've extracted a spline from my mesh, then created a second spline for the profile, but when i put these in my sweep nurbs object it comes out completely messed up. I've tried all the options in the sweep nurbs attributes manager (even a two rails sweep finishes difformed) and i also tried to change the spline axis...

any idea?

thanx

Hi. I just wanted to make sure that you have the contour spline-the one around his head as the top spline in the hierarchy under the sweep nurbs. Then the sweep spline-the one that the contour spline follows second in the hierarchy. if you want to add in a rail spline it would be third in the hierarchy. HTH

yes i have, it's pretty confusing; i think this has something to do with the way i made my splines...

i keep on

the countour spline has to lie in the local xy plane (yours in the xz).

that's pretty not logic:surprised ...
any idea why is it so?

don't know why, just know that's what it says on p183 of the english manual. maybe so c4d knows how to orient the contour spline to the sweep spline, which can be anywhere AFAIK.

did that solve your problem?
