View Full Version : Balancing act
Serashi 10-23-2009, 05:00 AM Hi all,
Here is a project I just started, wanted to improve on my weight and balance animation, so I set this up.
At the moment it is only key poses, some inbetweens and splined curves. Also trying to get the spacing and timing down.
I know its early, but more will come:)

any C&C is most appreciated.

Since it's only key poses now it's too early to say "it's lacking weight". But that will definitely have to be there for those big steps he's taking.
I think they're almost going to be like jumps.

Hey
At the beginning there is too much anticipation before he takes the first step. it looks like he is ready to jump but then takes a step forward.
The characters left foot 9 seconds in looks very odd either put all his wight on that pillar or do not have his foot on that pillar at all. The pillar is too high, his foot looks like its crushed.
Good luck!

Here is a small update of what I managed to do today. I added more movement to the spine and head, as well as changing some poses and trying to remove things that did not work, but I still got more work to do.
It's still key poses and inbetweens. When I finish this pass, I think I will try and do one more round of inbetweens.
