Hi,
I'm struggling with this issue for a while now I hope someone here can give me a hint how to solve this:
I have a noise rotation controller assigned to a biped bone, now I want to collapse this controller, so I get keyframes out of it for MotionMixer and later use ingame.
I follow the intructions from the tutorials precisely and keyframes are created but they all have <0.0> value!
even when I load the prepared scene from the tutorial files and just apply the last steps. I'm really lost here and desperately looking for help.
I'm working in 3ds max 8 SP 3 with a regular Biped
in detail this is what I do:
-create biped
-select bone "Bip01 Spine"
-open Motion panel, go to assign controller
-expand Transform:Spine and highlight: "Available" under "BipRotationList"
-from the "Assign Controller" Button I choose NoiseRotation
-close the dialogue
-scrub the timeline slider -> arm wiggles as expected
-Right-Click "Biped SubAnim" from the Assign Controller List, choose Properties
-Leaving all enabled (cause I do not care about wasted keys here) press "collapse"
-keys are generated for every frame of the timeline
-however: all movement is lost!
-workbench and curve editor display <0.0> value for every frame
-banging my head against desktop...
I already tried a script solution from JJTools 8: Key Biped 1.1 which was able to at least collapse the NoiseRotation values for arms and legs but unfortunately failed at solving the issue for spine and head (still 0.0 )
What I really don't get is that this procedure is described in various tuts that shipped with 3ds max 8 but it's not working out for me...
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
