Maybe I'm missing something obvious. But.... I would like to composite some clouds on to a scene and specifically the shadows of said clouds onto my video.

so I have an image plane mapped to my camera. a fluid clouds above, a light above that and shining straight down with raytrace shadows on.

below I have a simple plane with useBackground shader applied.

The problem I have when I render (mr) is that the cast shadows from the fluid does not show up on my usebackground shader. it does however show up on non usebackground shaders. Also the shadows of other objects (not fluid) do show up on my usebackground, like normal.

Does anyone know where my fluid shadows are on my use background?

thanks ahead

ah nm, I figured it out 5 mins after I posted this. I just had to turn on segmented shadows method in render settings.
