It looks like you've got a nice pencil drawing there. Unfortunately, the scan turned out so light that it's kind of hard to see what's going on. If you have photoshop, I would suggest trying to boost the contrast a bit on the image. As far as crits, it looks pretty good for the most part. It looks like her back leg might need some work and possibly the calf/foot on her front leg...however, it's hard to tell at the moment. Also, I can't tell what she's holding. The tree in the back looks really good.

Hi wildsheepchase
Thx for your advices ^_^
I've changed the levels, so there is more contrast now.
Your rite with the leg, somehow it looks like it isnt conected correctly yet....i'll try that again. That's a Nut she's holding in her hands. The lower left corner is still undone, i am still thinking about adding another smaller animal there....

Here's the pic with more contrast:

to me, the picture force me to look at the tree first instate of your charater. you should concentrate on your charater more.

thanks jaucifer, i try to focus more on the caracter by coloring it now. it might also work when i blur the background a bit.

here's my actual state of the painting.
i've coloured gras colours but it still doesn't look good enough  ...got any ideas?

I'd say the thing that you need to work on now is trying to get a uniform style going throughout the pic. The background is rendered in a painterly style, while the squirrelgirl is still cartoonish with the black outline. Generally, I don't think the two styles mix very well. I would either make it all cartoony or all realistic.
Also, the leg on the girl still looks strange. I think you need to show a little less of it. If I have time later, I'll do a paintover for you.
Hope that helps:wip:

*Also, try to avoid using black as your shader. It tends to make everything look kind of dirty.

what wildsheepchase say is true.
another bother me, is the bush on the left its now too eye catching.
But cute flower painting, maybe should have more of it.

thanks for the crits! they are very helpful

@wildsheepchase: Yes You're rite the style sundenly switched when i workd on the background...i try both ways when i got time for it this evening. About the foot...yes somehow it still doesnt look like the correct pose for sitting like that...

@jaucifer: yes i might have to find another colours for the bush....
Flowers will b added :)

thanks again and keep the crits coming!

maybe you should push the girl a little upward, so her head would be in front of the dark tree.... if made her head a little lighter, this would give good contrast, and focus the attention more on her.
just a suggestion,
actually my first thought when i saw the
pencil drawing, now in the coloured version things look different, but anyway imho she should be more "in front of the trunk", well it is a little late for that though.

lo brandish
well yes it is a bit late for pushing her upwards now, but ill give it a try. It might also help if i increase the contrast of the shaddy gras around the caracter. the caracter is too dark, dirty atm i agree with that, i try to use some other shading colours than just green and black. :arteest:
Thanks for your advices! It really helps me getting the picture on a higher quality level, keep giving me some c&c please :D
