Hi,
I am currently running on rig composed of a i7-920, 6GB RAM, Quadro 1700 (512 MB), and XP x64.
When I have Photoshop CS4 (64-bit) (using ~1.2 GB RAM), Mudbox (using~1.8 GB RAM), Maya (using~1.x GB RAM), and other apps like Adobe Bridge and Firefox loaded, switching between applications becomes slow. It will take maybe 5 to 10 seconds to bring up the application I alt-tab to call up. As I check the task manager, there was at least 1 GB of Physical Memory available.
I am wondering which component in my rig is causing the slow response and if there is a specific windows setting to solve this issue or I should upgrade certain hardware component?
Thanks,
Jason
