ettore 08-13-2003, 07:52 PM In this image i have a background object with a texture,and a sky object that produce gi;the floor have reflection enabled,but the background is not reflected.There is another way to do this?

But don't you think that the floor reflect too mutch the image,in that way?

Make a single plane with the background image texture mapped on it, instead of using the background object. Map the image to the luminance channel and make sure to use a compositing tag so that the plane isn't included in the GI calcualtions. Should do just what you want.

Sorry,but i missed to say in my thread that there is also a tube light in the scene,so if i put a plane near the room,i think that it can disturb the rays.

In the compositing tag if you only leave Seen By Rays checked lighting should not matter. It will only show up in reflections.

Yes...It works fine,now.But i have also to check another things,in the compositing tag;Infact,as you say i check "seen by rays",but i have checked (to work right) the tag that in italian version is called "compositing fondo".It's placed at the third line on the first column of the compositing tag.

Sure!..As you see in the attachment,on the right the image with the reflection of the sky.
