CGTalk - Still: Pencils

Here is a work from me. it is just a simple still. Work time 9 hours or so. I like the first pic much more because its darker. what do you think? comments please. sorry for my bad english ;)

You should switch the order, second one is WAY better. almost hit the back button before I saw it...

(2nd one)
lighting is awesome;
I would change the wood texture, you could even just project a picture of a table top - just looks too procedural now;
Yellow pencil could use some smudging, actually so could some other parts - maybe some eraser shavings;
the eraser could be missing a corner or something - maybe have some graphite on it.

really like the second one, but art is never complete.
