I'm modelling a robotic arm, and I've left the main tool and started on the hydraulics, Electrics, Joints ect... But... I am finding it near impossible to flow naturally on the same level of detail as the first part without it seeming needless. A lot of it will be texture detail I realize, but so far this doesn't seem like enough either.

maybe its the hydraulics thats causing the problem...
instead of those, maybe try motors... maybe u can add detail then...

hydraulics would hamper its movement anyway.... the hydraulics in the center would prevent the gun laser thigy from making a 360 or 180 degree and above revolution... instead, if u added motors, u can add detail for the motor itself...

but if ur going to stick with hydraulics, u need valves and pipe fittings to let the fluid in and out... u get a chance to do some boolean stuff right there......


try googling "industrial robots" or something like that........
