Hey guys,

My names is James, I have just under 3 years experience working in video games animation. However the past ten months of industry work have been my first real crack at full character animation (previously I was working in Facial animations). The unfortunate happen not so long, I was made redundant!

As I'm sure you can understand I'm still a bit of noob when it come to full character animation. Basically I'm here today to hopefully get some crit on my reel as I'm finding it hard to secure another role. I have spent the last month putting together some samples of work from past roles and a few personal animations. I know that there are some weakness which I'm working on now, so I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have which will help develop my animations.

my reel can be seen at www.jhobartanimator.com (http://www.jhobartanimator.com)

Cheers guys

J

I thought the face clips at :05 and :59 were too static even for just "face". The one at 1:10 was much more interesting. I'd lead off with that.

The big box that starts light but turns out to be heavy is going to cause too much second guessing by your viewers. "Does he know it doesn't look heavy?" Also he's leaning too far forward of his center of gravity most of the time.
