View Full Version : performance issues with texture in 256

Hi guys,

So far this forum have been great help hopefully someone can tell if what I'm facing is normal..
Here is the stuff I really need to display my shader in the viewport in highest quality so 256..because I annimate part of the shader and need to see what I'm doing.;only problem is with the performance of such a display.;it become slow as hell really hard to annimate anything..my Card is a Quadro 4 900 xgl so I thought it should be smooth..

Anyway need to know if anybody else is facing this sort of problem if it's due to a bad configuration of my card or really something to setup in Maya..

Same card here QUADRO 900 xgl...i think that i had the same problem mainly in occasions in which my texture's resolution was very big...so when Maya was turning on the 256 res..it was becoming a little bit slow...i run the card with 43.03 driver

Humm actualy I have no file it's only prcedural texture but yes as soon as I put the resolution in highest it's really slow..I think it's due to projection but not sure..it's weird it's that slow..anyone as a workaround for that..
