View Full Version : Rendering AO with displacents and normal Maps

Hey there,

I'm a little confused.

I have a creature that I am lighting and rendering. I have created an AO pass as shown in the help and they've (the AO passes) been working fine all along. The problem is that my creature has displacement and normal maps as well and the AO pass doesn’t seem to accommodate this, all its rendering is the original geometry.

How can I get the AO to calculate the Displacement and normal maps on the creature too?.

Simplest case setup would be: add override, add paramater to override (surface), plug Ao shader into surface.

Whoa! I'm surprised i dont understand a thing you said... mind breaking it down? slowly?

check help file - "overrides"

you override particular value(s) in partitions in passes.
