"It allows Eyetronics technicians to freely move around persons or objects, capturing dimensional and texture information by simply taking pictures."

Though I never watched the whole movie, my animation teacher worked on Jason X. He laughs about it all the time.

"The ability to capture texture maps instead of painting them was also a huge time saver, and helped add to the level of detail. We actually had to take out some detail because we were able to capture so much with the scans."

It would be interesting to see more about this product. Does anyone have a website URL for it?

in the last company I worked for, we purchased the kit... its really basic stuff... not impressive when you get it all... a bit of metal, and a slide (which you have to have a projector to work with). Creating the models is not a snap of a button at all, but overall, it can be a useful product.

Working with the projector is the old way of doing. They now have a complete kit, mounted on a frame. It's absolutely easy to work with it.
