Hey everyone,
I was hoping you could visit my website;
www.chrisjking.co.uk (http://www.chrisjking.co.uk)
and post any critiques or just tell me what you think. Any suggestions are welcome and i appreciate you taking your time to have a look. I hope to display the key principles of animation.
Look forward to hearing from you, either here or on the website.

I like the throw.
Without analyzing it I wonder if the body parts may be moving along lines rather than arcs.
the walk cycle has a jump in it at the loop point where I suspect the channels dont' match up.
Thanks for the reply.
i've had a look at the walk cycle and it does indeed jump. After trawling through my graph editors to find nothing i actually discovered the problem was in the rendering.
I've used Adobe After Effects 7 to composite the 2 renders side by side... and seem to have a problem i can't solve. The walk cycle is 31 frames long (Missing 32 for loop) but for some reason when rendering out of Adobe it seems to not render frame 31 and instead duplicate frame 30???? i don't understand why. it shows frame 31 fine in the preview window... so the jump is infact caused from missing frame 31, making it jump from 30 back to 0 in the loop.
Anyone have an idea of why this is so?
o and keep the critism coming
Thank you
Chris

I really like your animations. It's very smooth and great timing and all. All I think is thats it looks good, I cant find any obvious things I react to to critique.
As for the after effects thing, all I can suggest is using quicktime pro if you got it and import image sequence and export it then use that in after effects. or if you got premier, try importing image sequence there and render out a movie. I had same issues with after effects, and just skipped using it, unless you need to composite stuff of course:)
It seems to be a problem with making them into quicktime files as Adobe Premiere is doing the same thing. I'd like to keep them as quicktime tho so they can me scrolled through frame by frame. Allowing for better critiquing.
I've amended it so it has an extra frame rather then missing one. The pause seems harder to distinguish then the missing of a frame.
I have also added a second walk cycle, with a few alterations in the graph editor, for a slightly smoother walk, but with a little less movement. Please let me know what you think.
Also added a front render of the Throw. I will look to softening the cushion at the end shortly.

The lift look's nice. His approach walk to it is a bit hammy. Maybe it's too slow?
On the throw, his right toe sticks to the ground like a magnet is holding it, then breaks free.
Thanks Robcat.
The approach to the lift is a lil slow as he's supposed to be reluctant to lift the box, but i'll have a look at it or see if i can make the reluctance clearer.
Good spot with the end of the throw. I've altered the end so let me know if you like the 'improved' version.
Thanks for the advice people keep it coming.
