Hi all, i know light bleeding has been up a lot, but this is just incredibly annoying.

I have a closed tunnel, like a long tube, with n opening in one end that opens and reveals the room with light - I have a spotlight .. this could be any light .. outside the opening that reveals the room. I need to have Spec on this light. ( i also have on FG but this doesnt seem to cause any problems. )

nomatter what i do - the spec bleeds around the tunnel frame into the tunnel. I've tried overlapping the geo by a lot, made the geometry thiiiick.. everything i can come up with... its just specular that does it..

I'm using a MIA material, and on my spotlight i have a high intensity with liear falloff and ray trace shadows set to Radius/Rays 2/14... (it still happens when i use a regular phong material..)
any suggestions are very welcome...
thanks

are your raytrace render globals set to at least 2 in shadows, reflections and max trace depth as well as in the material? It's hard to know exactly what's going on. Could you post some images as well as your settings?

(my server is down so just using mega upload for now hope its ok.
and if u have an extra second, heres a maya scene for you: (2009) i recreated teh scene with simple geo - its a shot for work so i cant show you the actual scene unfortunately.

under the hdr image under image based lighting, you can just plug in anything, i just used this as a test, it can also just be FG with a sphere around the scene with white shader casting FG, this is not important.

Are you talking about the specular reflection on the ceiling? That's just a reflection of the floor.

no haha.. when the room is completely closed off, there should be no reflections or light or nothing.. but it is still bleeding in around the corners of the opening.
