Nice concept and nice textures and clean modeling, this is very good.
It could be more better with a character :)

Hi Monoblanco,
This is looking really nice. I love the design, it has a lot of character to it. I have a question though. Have you made bump and specularity maps from your diffuse/colour maps? It's just that the textures look a little flat. If you have done this already I think they could perhaps do with being made stronger. I think this would really bring some life to those textures. Saying that, I've just seen your other work and your resume on your website and it looks like you're a game artist so should this reflect that? Is there going to be a character inside?
It really looks almost finished. Keep at it!

Great job, both the concept and the work you put into look really good. The only thing i didn't really like was the color you chose for the nose on the propeller, i didn't like the red. Also, and sense this is a fantasy piece i guess it doesn't matter, but being that it is a blimp and that the bottum of the air sac is open, wouldn't you need a source of heat to fill it with to keep it afloat? Maybe i just missed it. Anyway excellent job :applause:

Hey monoblanco
Well it is very interesting.
Like the whole idea and style. My only real crits are that the rubber ducky life saver is too clean compaired to everything else and does not really fit. Also the patches on the balloon look to flat against it, it is obvious that they are textured on. and I might mess with the specular level and glossiness on all your textures they look too flat. Besides that Great Job keep up the good work

Thats awsome, quite far along already its looking great.
one question though
when he finds a whale does he have to like dive towards it to get that harpoon to aim at it or does it swivel on a mount or what?

i'm done working on this for now.
derrick: i was thinking he will shoot whales from a far, so the harpoon thingy would travel on and arch path.
it's been fun.
not so sure if this is FINISHED WORKS material.
the work on this site is so damn amazing i'll leave that up to you.
thanks for the critiques.
best wishes,

Monoblanco, that looks so much better. I'd say perhaps the bump map on the balloon material is slightly too strong, but perhaps that's a matter of opinion. It looks really good and would say it's finished. Well done .
