I'm pretty new to motionbuilder. I couldn't find any tutorials to about importing and retargetting motion capture data to characters. All of the characters that I import to motion builder has arm problems. Arms usually twist and go towards back. I have double checked all of rigs and naming on characterize screen. I'm now sure how to proceed and I'm on a deadline.
My main character is cartoon type bear and he's was not in straight T-pose when I modelled him, rather his arms are a little bit to the front and down, like a bodybuilder showing his chest muscles with arms to the front and side of the torso. Now all of motion capture data that I have usually have only the action in them such as dances or falling motion. They do not begin in t-pose. Now my question is should I try to pose my mesh very close to motion capture data's first frame and then export from maya to motionbuilder or should I do something else? Every other part works ok except the arms.
