Hey everybody,

I have just finished creating two reels, one for animation and one for rigging.
The animation reel is about me learning the fundamentals, getting a hang of weight, timing and spacing, so I have not jumped into any acting until I started feeling a bit more comfortable with this, which I now do. Of course I need lots of improvement, and to learn more, but we all start somewhere :)

My rigging reel is what I am most confident with, and feel I have learned many great features, and I really enjoy animation with my own rig. It works.hehe :)

So with these two reels I hope i can get my foot in the door and start a career in the animation industry.

Animation Reel:

Quicktime 720p (http://steinlagim.com/Reel/AnimationReel09_720p.mov) (40 MB)

Quicktime 640x480 (http://steinlagim.com/Reel/AnimationReel09.mov)(12 MB)

Streaming from Vimeo (http://steinlagim.com/AnimationVimeo.html)

Rigging Reel:

Quicktime 720p (http://steinlagim.com/Reel/RiggingReel09_720p.mov) (45 MB)

Quicktime 640x480 (http://steinlagim.com/Reel/RiggingReel09.mov) (27MB)

Streaming from Vimeo (http://steinlagim.com/RiggingVimeo.html)

Thank you for taking the time to have a look, and as always C&C is most appreciated.

Cheers

I really like your rigging reel I think the Mirror Pose feature is really cool. Also I like the interface that shows the controls and the camera view of the character face very nice..

your Animations are very good thus far. the motions are very dynamic, however there are some minor animation crits with the ninja jumping and tumbling the pose at the end seem a bit off to me and the Ninja back flip. other than that the creature animation was very fluid.

I look forward to seeing your work in a feature film or animation Great work.

Thank you for the nice feedback.

I might take a look at those two clips if I get the time, but yeah, they do got some more work to do. Its's hard to sometimes to say: "It's done, move on to next clip":)

Thanks again, most appreciated.

Really nice rigging reel. I like the monster character a lot. Simple but yet very complex.

i like the rigging reel theres some minor crits about the animation however. when the monster lifts the weights you have a bend in the middle of the pole but the monster has a wide grip. such a bend would only happen if the monster had a narrow grip (both hands in the middle of the bar) and the weights were less supported

Thanks for the feedback. And I guess I took a little freedom and added the bend, over exaggerated a bit:) I noticed in some Olympic reference videos I looked at that they did bend just slightly, so maybe I overdid it too much:) I might revisit the clip and play with the bend a little.

Glad you liked the rigging reel.

Cheers
