is there anything i need to know about ordering a computer over the internet? who here has had the experience of ordering a computer over the internet and has some pros and cons they would like to share?

Yes...
Always use...
http://www.resellerratings.com before ordering from an online pc parts store.
Can prevent ALOT of mistakes. If the companies rating is low and/or they have lots of complaints...DON'T order from them.
Pro's for online ordering is simple...much much much much much cheaper then ordering from a PC store.
(Just walk into comp usa or bestbuy and price out some pc parts...not to mention a local computer shop)
Cons: Returns (Not as bad now as most local stores charge a 15% restocking fee) and shipping costs.
