I recently discovered blendshapes and couldn't wait to rig a face using only BS's; no joints or skin. Check out the video via the link below and tell me what you guys think -- is the setup user-friendly, intuitive, realistic? My goal was to capture the MAIN facial motions and expressions so yes, there couldn definitely be a lot more but still..first try =) thanks

I think you have studied facial expression very well. And your demo is absolutely great. Could you post a wire of your model?

Alright, a fellow Full Sail Student!

Those are some fantastic blendshapes that you created, and the attention to all the areas the are effected by each muscle is fantastic.

How many blendshapes did you make?

The only thing I can really add is just what you mentioned already; adding more controls (Check puffing, lip rolling out, etc).

Just a month a way from AMP so only 5 months away from graduation.

Another thing I caught is when you move the control for the eye brow, the skin looks like it's folding over the top of the bride of the nose. Whenever someone furrows their eyebrow I believe it looks more of a vertical pinch.

Something like this:

P.S.
Not me :p

I believe you mean, ANP, hehe. I am about to finish PCC2 myself, can't wait to graduate.

But back to topic, you having really good character modeling skills is gonna help you tremendously.
