View Full Version : Should I switch or start learning maya?

Hey guys,
I have been modeling 3d environments for a few months now and I know 3ds max in and out, and I was wondering if I should switch to maya, I heard maya is better but I am not sure if it is, is maya better for 3d environments and making more realistic models or 3ds max? what should I do?

You should search. Threads like this never get anywhere. Try it. If you don't like it, fine. If you're trying to get a job where they use Maya, well, learn it.

Stick with what you have until you MUST learn another program, like for a job as stated above. Remember the programs are just a tool, it's your ability to be able to model well that counts.
