You should try another reflection environment...

Way too reflective, it looks like a chrome-covered miniature. Decent modeling.
Please tell me that's not the WTC in the blurred background. If it is I would recommend another environment.

way to much reflective, use a different reflection map, and use more blur to the image so you don't get that clear shiny effect

I personaly have nothing against posting an image with the WTC in the backround, but what I DO protest is how low quality this is, if you did it a very high quality piece and made it something worth looking at then you would be making a proper memorial piece.
also, I don't really like havin to listen to stuff like "I do fight for freedom (of speech and images)." Becuase I personaly Don't see you fighting, I see you more trying to cuase a noise, and its not going to improve something. You want to fight for freedom? Join the Army.

Freedom of speech means i can be as intolerant as i want. Nice plane but as for being a political statement...uhh where is it? You construct a moderately well modeled plane, slap a highly reflective material on it and put a hugely blurred and out of scale image behind it that people are assuming is one of the WTC towers.
I'm not offended, just mystified as to how you think this is any sort of statement? It may be foolishly politically incorrect to expunge all images of the wtc from memory but to think merely adding one to touch off some sensitive viewer is a statement is childish. Being offensive without anything to say is hardly fighting for freedom (of speech and images).

(psst he's canadian, and i'm american. judge me how you will, but dont be an ass and call on a steriotype to make a point)
Now for the actual picture: Its not too bad. The plane could be modeled better (unibody construction for instance, the intersection of tailfin and ailerons (not to up on my plane stuff so that might be off) is extremely sharp and does not look very realistic. Composition is rather boring, but if its just a showcase of a model as the logo seems to indicate that isnt much of a problem. Background could be better chosen, even ignoring its slight (and rather distorted ?!?) resemblence to a certain tower. It is very flat, looks too scaled up, and lacks any sense of environment whatsoever.
The texture: wow that is reflective. Get some references, do a google search, Look at this (http://www.afvclub.com/grafx/airplane%20over%20flight.jpg), my monitor's pretty bad but that plane doesnt look half as reflective. Any plane that high up and that reflective is going to have to have a lot of detail in the environment map, but i think that it wouldnt be so clearly defined because of environmental diffusion and such.

"fight for freedom, join the army"
i could go on and on about this, but since this is not a political forum, i wont

There's a big, golden comic logo in the pic.
A decent plane with a way too high reflection rate in the center.
And a background that might or might not be anything of particular interest.
As I looked first at that picture I did not understand at all your statement about "sad" image. Nothing in this picture does tell me that. Not in colours, not in composition, not in content. For me that's a plane in front of a dummy backround (sorry if that sounds rude). The plane loses most details to the reflection leaving your logo as the only interesting part of the picture.
If you want to make a statement, political or otherwise you need to transport your message. Just saying you fight for freedom of speech does not better the image for when the image does not speak what does it help?

? thats just stupid.
even me from norway reacts on this picture.
if it`s suppose to be a tribute to wtc, you might want
to spend some more time with it and, truly, make it a good one.
i dont quite see the "tribute" value either on a comp.like this.
many good advices here, both refl.map, comp. and modelling.
also, get rid of the logo.
either way, good luck. :)
