View Full Version : Creating plants in 3ds max 2010 with xstream

Hey guys,

Every time i try and create a plant in an existing scene in 3ds max from the vue menu, it adds in a light (which ruins my lighting, destroying my lighting setup), a camera (which i obviously don't need) and finally the plant. I've tried importing the plant from another scene, but it never seems to work properly.

Is there any way to create a plant in vue xstream in an existing scene without destroying everything else in the process??

Thanks for your time!

Does it happen when there is already a Vue scene inside your Max scene? This would be a bug.
Or does it happen when there is no Vue scene yet in your Max scene? This would be normal, when creating any Vue object, a Vue volumetric shader is created, along with a Vue scene. the Vue scene is formed by an atmosphere, a ground plane, a sun object, and a Vue camera.
