Hi!

This is my very first post so here goes:

This is a scene from an animation that I'm working on. The image shows the main character Victor, a dollhouse doll, looking at a magical music box with Pulcinella in it. Since it is a bit of a sad story taking place in a dollhouse, I wanted the atmosphere to reflect that. The second image shows the "mother" doll with a harp.
The images were done with Maya 5.0 using standard Maya Software Renderer.

Hope you like them!

This is some fantastic work. I love the eary glow that the light reflect off the harp and music box. The whole environment is just a trip. I would love to see the animation, this stuff is top notch.

Amazing style!
Love the theme, looks like early 20th century. Very calture filled artwork! The texturing work is also amazing.

Hi and thanks for the comments!
I'm glad you liked the glow/atmos, I really worked hard to achieve it.

I will post clip of the animation as soon as there is something that's polished and ready. We are still in the early stages of the animation (this is a joint project with my wife, who is co-director and scriptwriter as well as producer) but hopefully we'll have the complete animation ready by early spring 2004.

Just gotta say the hands of the boy look really odd. I dont know if its just the angle or somethin. Maybe having the fingers spread instead of together would help if its just the angle here.
