View Full Version : Boy : skin test
Waters 08-12-2003, 04:49 AM I'm working to get this model's skin looking good. I'm not yet done with this model of a boy, but I've started texturing anyways. Give me your two cents, thanks.

Hey, sorry about that... I was, unfortunalely, doing battle with a virus, and so I could not keep my server up. Its up now, so please let me know what you think of the two images above. Thanks.

Ah now I can see them..
hmm.. Yes looks good. Maybe the skin has a bit too much bump or something that makes the skin look maybe too "worn" for the boy of his age... but also it kinda makes him look a bit dirty which is nice if it is on purpose.
The upper image looks like he's been hangin upside down for several minutes and the blood has rushed in :)
Send us some more images and maybe with a different lighting :)

Ok, thanks.. I see what your saying, I'll try to improve how it looks. The bump map def. needs some work.

i plan on adding hair, eye lashes, and eyebrows... I'm not sure how to best go about doing that, but it looks like ill have to make them geometry because Im rendering with mental ray.

Doesnt seem like I'm getting any responses, but no matter.. I will continue trying with this project. I have added eyelashes, changed the lighting a bit. In this render the face needs more smoothing, and the ear got messed up, but I'm working on the modeling while I work on the texturing/lighting.
