on second look, i don' t think it was the anatomy that threw me off so much as the middle finger matching so perfectly with the missing corner of the card. still, all in all, great piece.

this has been hit on, just barely, but the extended index finger and middle finger that appear from underneath the card, are too long and anatomically out of place I think. It would take a bit of tweaking and examining to figure out exactly why they look a little funky, but its just a quivel.

The technique is great. Keep up the good work.

Exellent work. I noticed the finger thing as well. I think that if the fingers are going to be that long then they need to be thicker and the hand needs to be enlarged also. Perhaps if he were larger in the frame then he would look closer and the wide angle thing would work better.

I'm left puzzled by the Mod's choice for front page material. This piece does not strike me as extraordinary, in fact i'd barely rate it average.

The composition: there's no background, it's completely flat, the character is dead centre, there's no tonal contrast between the character background, The character is balanced (ie the parallel lines between the joker's hood, arm and legs). The line of action is uninteresting at best, and the anatomy is off. The foreshortening/positioning of the fingers is plain wrong, it looks like he's akwardly holding a pair of chopsticks. The curvature/twisting of his suggest suggests that his crotch should be at approx. the middle of the leg.

In short, I'm not trying to be a dick, I just want to see something of quality on the front page.

Humm. Sharpened cards are boring, since it was done many-many times before. Think of Gambler from X-men. It's not very original as you see.

I also think it's not fronpage quality artwork. Sorry.
