View Full Version : Ambient Occlusion
chips__ 08-11-2003, 10:06 PM Heya
I was thinking.... yup, i was! Would there be any advantage of doing an ambient occlusion baking mel script that used the openGL og Fx from a graphics card to sample occlusion?
Maybe it could be written as a cG shader actually? :)

I would be really interested in a CG ambient Occlusion shader especially if you could bake it. I haven't had too much time to look into it but I have an FX1000 card and I saw a demo of some ambient occlusion with it at siggraph and it looked pretty nice.
The advange would be speed of course.. it shoudlbe really fast to do.
