Hi there,
I am a new member here. Actually I dont work with Max, I am a Cinema-User, but I have a problem and I hope you can help me:

I got some max-datas from my client and I want to export them to 3ds-format for rendering in Cinema 4D. Actually no problem at all but theres a complex scene, a car with many polygons. I tried to export several times and also just a few objects in the scene but it doesnt work. It stops exporting.
I hope theres a tool in max for reducing Polygons.

Can you exactly show me (if there is this tool) where I can find it.

Thanks

There is a modifier called "optimise". Just select your object and then modifiers-mesh editing-optimize. It has nothing to do with texturing though.

Why 3ds? It's rubbish. Use obj or fbx...

I would try Optimizing and exporting as fbx. I've had problems with Max losing my UVs when exporting as obj.
