I Can finally post details of a teaser trailer i worked on for ABC WARRIORS/2000AD
Directed and designed by Steve Maher and John Doyle of FIRESTEP (http://www.firestep.net). I was involved with most aspects of production, from scene building, lighting, character modelling, setup and animation, through to AFX compositing. Freelance animator/compositor John Hedley was on hand to give the trailer a final pass of effects.

Toolkit: 3ds MAX, Headus UV LAyout, Adobe After effects, photoshop, Bodypaint.

Looks well made, but it is a little short and you don't get a clear look at most of the characters. As a youngster I loved the fantastic work Simon Bisley did on ABC warriors. The character design work on Hammerstein for the Hollywood Judge Dredd was also top notch too even though the film itself was God awful. Is this teaser for an animated film or series? I'd love to see more. I think a faithful adaptation, either live action or animated could be great.

The style is spot on! Is it a trailer to raise funding?

Would love to see more 2000AD stuff made.

ATOMIC * BACTERIAL * CHEMICAL

Always loved the b+w art from the 2000AD RoBusters days.

Mike McMahon, Pat Mills, Kevin ONeil, Dave Gibbons, Simon Bisley where a big part of my childhood. Preferred my super heroes to wear metal rather than spandex ;)

This will make a great game if Rebellion fund the development properly.

It's not for a game AFAIK.

It's something along the lines of a series - online I think.

Great to see this happening! As said before, some of the best artists in 2000AD's history have all inked on the ABC Warriors, including Langley at the moment. I hope you keep some of the archane humour! Best of luck.

This and the Simon Harrison Strontium Dog are the best 2000AD comics. Just fantastic drawings. This looks to do it justice - I want to see more. :)
