Hi All,

PLE user looking for a little interface help:

In the dope sheet when I select a keyframe (happens to be clamped) and go edit>copy, then move the playhead to another frame (still in the dope sheet) and do edit>paste, the keyframes that are put down do not have the same value as the copied ones.

How do I make sure pasted keyframes hold the same value as the copied ones?

Thanks very much!

david

That's pretty weird. Should copy them fine, what are your settings on your 'paste'?

Hi Lostpencil,

Thanks for the quick reply! My paste settings are the default ones I think:

Time Range: Current
Selected Keys Overide: not checked
0 time offset
0 value offset
copies:1

Clip board adjustment: preserve
Paste method: Insert
Replace region is greyed out

Connect is checked.

The pasted key ends up with the inbetween value: So if I have keyframe 1's value at 10, and
keyframes 10's value at 20, then copy and keyframe 1, paste at frame 5, frames 5's value will be 15. (If they are all linear curves.)

Any ideas?

Try setting the paste method to merge. That seems to fix it.

Aha! Of course! How intuitive.

Thank you!

Looking forward to seeing your new rig BTW. I really learned a lot form the other example rig available on the LP forum. So thanks for that too.

You are welcome! Glad it helped. The character/rig I'll be releasing was created by using the advanced skeleton (http://www.animationstudios.com.au) tool. It's inexpensive and I like the selector interface... more coming real soon.
