Thanks for reading.

I have this problem with a malbehaving Polygon, as you can see on the following screenshot:

The problem only shows up when smoothed.

I deleted it, selected the four Vertices and chose "Polygon > Make [Face]" but that only messed up more of the model. What is the solution?

I think it's put into Subdivision mode : select the polygon and press Tab to switch back to Polygon mode.

Well, they're all in subdivision mode, it's the only one that shows up this way. When in polygon mode, all look the same. I had this problem a couple of times now.

Could be a double polygon ?
Quickest solution would be to just delete the offending polygon (nothing should be beneath it), and then rebuilding it (by selecting the vertices clockwise and pushing p).

You can try the Mesh Cleanup script ... "It does a fixed 1 um vert merge, poly unify, and poly align to kill duped geometry."

You can download it from here (http://www.indigosm.com/modoscripts.htm).

Thanks guys! Yes, I think it was always because they were either doubled or something was connected to them on the other side and nothing to the ones next to them.

I'll try the script. Bridge seems to work well too. Even if I just bridge between two, all four edges are connected.
