I'm not worried if this wins or not - I just want to have a little practice with "Paint Shop Pro" and try out my drawing skills.

The character is a Wolfboy. This is partly influenced by watching loads of WereWolf films from my teenager-years.

Here is a link to a 3-minute sketch to decide what is basically in the picture -

I want it to end up in the style I used to draw in when art was the only thing in my life.

If this entry is slightly invalid in anyway - refuse to take votes for it. I just want to have a little feedback on what people think of my workmanship... ;)

Cheers.

Re: Mattreigner.

Sorry, mate - I only looked at a few of the other entrys. I didn't really expect it to be entered into the final voting because the Wolf-man-boy-girl character was too obvious a choice.

I only choose this character because I have a fond memory of watching "Howling VI - The Freaks".

I did state that I wanted to do this just for a quick practice to improve my skills.

I'll meet you half way on this - how do you feel about it?:hmm:

Here is another concept sketch for my Wolf-boy theme...

http://mysite.freeserve.com/Rei/WolfBoy_2.jpg

...I like the idea of showing my disgust of the hole sideshow scene by looking at the personal side of the "freak" themself.

Here, a young girl who can see the creature for who he really is - a boy who needs love...ahhh!

What a silly sod I am...

Nice touch to get that "Beauty & The Beast"-side of the story together too... Let's see some modeling now! :D

Re: JamesMK.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if I can model the actual characters, but I should be able to do the scenery in 3D.

I really intended this to be hand-drawn & inhanced by Paint-Shop-Pro...have I set this up in the wrong section?

Hmm... sounds like you're looking for the 2D challenge ( http://www.cgtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=69 ) It's still a good concept though!

Thanks!

Re: Lildragon or CGtalk mods...

I've set this entry up in the wrong section - is that okay if one of you guys could move this thread into the "2D Challenge" section?
