Hey guys,
I'm trying to create some wings using feather images with transparency mapping onto planes.
The problem I'm having is that I'm getting boxy silhouettes around the planes when rendered...
I've already done a search and tried setting Shadow Attenuation to 0, but I'm still getting the same semi-transparent box around my geo. I am positive that the maps are cleaned up and there are no rim artifacts.
Any other ideas? Much appreciated for the help!
I'm using Maya 2009 with Mental Ray + Physical sun and sky.
Solution:
Turns out it was the Reflection and Eccentricity from the Blinn shader that caused it. Fixed by making them all 0.
