View Full Version : Motion Blur Error

All,

I'm getting a weird photoreal motionblur error. During rendering some of my threads are drawing noticeably darker than the others. Blur = 200%, Focal Length = 10mm, 8 Core Xeon.
I thought I had a bad memory chip or core until we determined other machines at work have the same issue. I'm guessing that LW9.6 PRMB is having trouble with multithreading.

If you've encountered this problem, help is much appreciated.

Could it be a shader problem? I heard that some nodes don't play well with motion blur.

use screamernet...
i know seems a weird suggest but often i found problems with multithreading in lightwave 3d, and my simple solution is screamernet.
many lw plugins have limits to not work fine with multithreading.
i solved it with many screamernet instance.
also if i not use my renderfarm but only my main computer.

Thanks guys, but we ended up using the old motion blur.
It renders slower and doesn't look as good, but it works.

Mike, did you sent in this problem to Newtek? It would be great if it's reproduceable on their end and they can have it fixed during the 9.6.1 beta.
