hello everyone, I thought i'd try my luck in this contest. Not sure if I will be able to pull it through, its my firt time I engage in such a thing.... but i'l do my best. Just wanted to do some character modeling anyway, and i'm sure it's a great way to learn.

anyway, here's a quick sketch i just did. I dont think i'l go overboard with this one, so I'm currently thinking on a lilliputter with some severe but subtle deformations...

don't mind the sketchy look of it, I just felt like scribbling all the way. I guess i'l put some more work in it, so i know where i'm going.

Oh, ... and don't ask for the big hat... i don't know either.

another quick doodle... trying out a pose. I don't know if we can use some attributes, like a chair?

Hmm, maybe i need to go a bit more freaky with this...

heh, i really feel like sketching tonight... hope things will go smooth too in 3D.

a more close up look to the deformation in his head:

C'mon people, i'm new to this, give me some feedback on how i'm doing...

started coloring the last sketch a bit...

haven't much background info on the character yet, but i'm sure that will come around while working on it.

by the looks of it he has an overgrown cheekbone and eyesockets, which may even stick out if i find a way how the flesh would go around that. By having the right side almost normal i guess the freakiness is even more apparant and creepy.

not sure for the body yet, but i guess he's shorter then usual and have very blocky hands or something.

first session in 3D of the head...

I guess i'l model symetrically until I have some good topology to work with.

hmm. i'm not really sure about this. The thing with the excessive bone in the head doesn't work to well. It's not effective enough. I thought to let him have such bone dissease on his body too. but looking at my last preview, the bone looks more like some big eyebrows and beard. i might just make an old drunk lilliputter then, with a bottle of whiskey as attribute. so the pose would be more like the sketch where he sits on the chair. Just not sure where the assymetry will come in then.

Any suggestions?

if the bone on his face was just above one eye it might come acrost as a deformity more ... i like the sketches alot ... yah, if ya follow those i think it might come out good ...
good luck no matter how ya decide to tweak 'em around
