looks great, but more info is need to make crits.
map size ?
poly counts ?

Hey it looks pretty good. Only crit i have is that its too clean. Need to grunge it up some. Even the tires look brand new. Definitely needs some wear and tear, but overall great job. :beer:

It looks great. But the chunky wheels hurt it a lot imho.

I think the wheels are good.
As CADster says, wireframes and more info wouldn't hurt at all.
What you're showing now looks very nice though. My biggest crit would be that it's completly factory new, dirt and paintflakes torn off and stuff would do wonders imo. Specifically the cockpit area, the canopy in particular, looks.. flat. though I wouldn't know if it has a reflection shader that looks cool in-motion hm..

i have changed the canopee a bit made i transparant an now it can be opened

it does need a little more dust and scratches as stated, but remember the P51 was a late war aircraft.. it will not be as beat up as say a Fw190 thats been fighting sense the battle of britian and the russian campain ;)

ok why are the wheels NOT a perfect circle?
it's not that hard to make, i know 99 percent of the reason is polly count. but i mean comon, it destroys everything (remembers ENTER THE MATRIX car)
can't you make them into a box and slap a nice texture with invisible sides to it?

im indeed going to add durt scratches and dust, i hope in the next week. and im going to make different skinns for it to.
About the wheels, For models like cars and tanks we use planes with round alphachanneld textures to make the wheels look more natureral, but for this plane it is really to smal. if you walk around the model ingame you wont even notice it.
in the first pictures i posted, it is much more viseble because of the blinn shader i put on the model.

i completely agree !!!
the wheels are seen for only a few seconds anyway (during the time it takes for you to run up to it). the plane fold them up in flight and additional sides are not needed (you could relly go with less sides if you wanted).
the whole alpha channel wheel thing is over rated anyway .. they always have blurry edges at a distance and are jaggy when your up close.

Wheels are not octagon shaped, and breasts are not sphere shaped. But, it's not my model....
