Alice these are fantastic! Nice disturbing looking little girls. My only recommendation is to do more with the bone growth (horns). Maybe they can be more deformed and abnormal. Larger ones like a ram's horns would be cool too.

If you want to push the oddness, try mixing horn styles. How would a moose's rack look with antelope twists at the ends? How about a rhino horn that branches into an elk design?

Make more asymetrical designs too. I think it would really add to the characters (and fit the rules nicely). :D

Just scribbling to get a class together right now. problem is, I have no scanner so I take a picture of the drawings and work from that.
But my workmate borrowed my camera :/

Im thinking about adding some contrast to a verry colourfull background. We´ll see, far to deadline, thanks god! :D

I was actually waiting for the Tim Burton comment, sometimes it feels like hes got monopoly on the whole "grose or twisted goth style", could be kinda frustrating.

There is a cartoon in sweden and norway I think, in a magazine called Nemi, its about a dead little girl called Leonore. Its kinda bizarre and painted in black and white and shaded in a watercolorstyle.

So far people have tended to compare my little girls with either that style or mr Burton.

Since Tim Burton (not only as a conceptmaker but also as a storyteller) is my favourite and Nemi is the best magazine, I would have to say its a compliment :)

But "Vincent" is that a flash cartoony thing?
If not, I missed that one.
