Hi there, this post is generally to think things through.

Last challenge, I got through about half of the sketch work I predicted I needed to get done before starting even to model and I tried starting earlier to model, but it didn't look good, So I'll be content if I get to finish pre-sketch-work within the time limits.

The pre-work is really important if you think about it, its truly the birth place of your character, and good pre-work will only help you along, especially me who's a total newb in the arty-farty world :)

If it goes beyond sketch-work, then I'm happy.

So, first thing to do is to find books and images of the era. Find out what freaked people out back then.

Just replying to brainstorm a few ideas here :)

1) Man with really disfigured teeth

2) man with a horn from the middle of his skull

3) man with 3 eyes.

4) man with a tiny head

5) boy with old skin

6) siamese twins

7) girl with one eye incredibly large, perhaps the reason is no eyelids.

8) guy with the swollen neck thing, as portrayed by leonardo da vinci.

9) Guy with 8 long fingers on one hand

One of these or a couple blended together ought to horrify enough. I'll have to start sketch soon.

I like some of your ideas:

5, 8 and 9 all sound really cool.
