Hi! I thought I'd try to get some crits before I work too much further on this one. I feel like the neck and upper chest area don't look quite right, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly is wrong. Also, I'm painting this at a really large size(about 1900 x 2700 pixels with 500 dpi in Photoshop7) and I'm finding that unless the image is zoomed in on extremely close, I'm getting jaggy edges in the painting. Anyone know how to remedy this?

Any other crits would be appreciated as well. Thanks:D

youre off to a great start!
I started painting on top of your pic to figure out how it looked without the drawing, and maybe if you pulled in the left side a bit?

Im more confused over how the legs will come out and wich leg should be above the other.

Hope you dont mind me doodling on you beautiful girl.
cheers!

It looks nice. You have some work to do to make it great, but it's an excelent start.

As the red cloth comes down to the floor it looks more like a liquid, you might wanna look into that before working any further on the picture, also, check her nose, it's abit wide on it's back...

I would also recomend you to show her left arm abit more, just an indication of the hand or something, would look more interesting.

These are just my opinion, but I suppose you want some opinions, why else post a picture in this forum, right?

Cheers!

I think your start is great, only thing might be the foreshortening of the thighs... looks a little off

Thanks for the replies!

Alice: Paintovers are always appreciated. I'll definately try some of your suggestions and define the leg anatomy a bit more.

Kamsvag: Thanks! I agree about the nose and cloth. I'll try experimenting with the arm a bit.

kBg_Fiske: Thanks...I'll work on that!

I'll try to post an update as soon as I can. Unfortunately, my computer was hit by a virus/worm and I need to get that fixed before I can work on the painting anymore. In the meantime, I'd appreciate any further c&c you guys have to offer. Feel free to rip into it!

 :wip:
