View Full Version : 11 Second Club
assafk 09-26-2009, 07:47 PM Hi there!
This is my first try of character animation.
I dont know if I'll submit it to the competition, but I intend to finish it anyway...
Currently in blocking stage.
I could really use some critique and comments!
Thanks.

Right now its abit hard to crit because its at such an early stage and the poses are all too similar. But personally I would think it'll look clearer if she...or he (lol), begins with the pointing pose while having the hand shake slightly. Then once she says "Ever!" change the pose to a straight stance. All arms straight down, and body slightly leaning forward to make her look pissed :P

Hey, good idea, I'll do that.
Thanks.

Some progress. Still blocking, but nearly done. Just have to finish the lips syncing and fix all the bad poses.
What do you think?

What's up dude,
I like that you brought the character in closer. Smart move, because in your first post, there was a lot of space not being used by the character. I think you made another good choice by removing the hand from covering the face so much (as it was in your initial post).
On the other hand, the character seems a bit jumpy. I'm seeing some isolated movement. Are you making "Select all" or "Key All" buttons? They really made a difference for me when I had a lot of issues with isolated movement.
It's getting there. Most of your poses are there, although I think the last 3 seconds could be a bit more interesting and clearer. Also, finalize your horizon line. I think it will help with the overall presentation of your animation :)
