Regards All,

I Have been working on a scene saved to a network share drive which happens to be mounted as D: Well now I copied my whole project directory to a local drive g:. I opened the .mb file from the local directory and made sure the project was set to this new local folder. Well it looks ok in file>project>edit current but when I open nodes in the hypershade all my textures still point to the remote d:\ location of the peoject instead of the sourceimages folder in the new currently set project on the local harddrive.

How can I fix this without manually going in and reloading each texture file from the new project directory?

Thanks

Scott

hmmmm well a little hack for something like this would be save the file as ascii, then open it in a text editor and replace d: with g:
that might work...

Hi scott,
The problem is, your mb files still has old project directory information
It looks like you have to select those materials manually first, then
Go to Window > Setting Preferences > Preferences > Files/Projects
then enter your new projects path in the Default Project Directory and Always Start in This Project column and save you project into your new project directory and restart Maya :)

Download FileTextureManager.mel from Highend3D. this script does what I think you want to.

:)
