We have completed the screenplay for the movie now. All we have to do is finalize costumes for people before we can start filming out scenes. We are still in need of anyone out there that can help with CG: Modellers, Texture Artists, Animators etc.
In highest need are people who can model, animate rigged characters (Battle droids mostly), and know how to create good explosions. A few of us with Max have a version of Afterburn which we are still learning how to use. If you have that and know how to use it, we need your help! The following exerpt is from the screenplay. During the climactic ending of the movie, a contingent of Republic Forces make an assault on a Trade Federation Base located on Naboo. We have nothing but the highest hopes for this scene and we will probably be spending more time on it than anything else. Here is the short description of the battle with the dialogue taken out so I don't ruin too much:) :

Just a short while after Korthan’s last line, we hear a huge explosion outside.
Cut to an exterior shot of the base with five gunships circling overhead. The turrets are firing at them, and the battle droids have their own problem, for the gunships unloaded their cargo of 10 Jedi (two per gunship). Following this wide shot is a montage of various Jedi using the Force, lightsabers, etc. to fight the battle droids. A few Jedi die, as well. Finally the camera rest on a shot of Qet’fin-Dohr, who doesn’t even use a saber, only the Force is his ally. Korthan and Ro peak out of their hiding place see the battles going on.
Ro and Korthan enter the fight. Korthan’s fighting style is more defensive, using ducking and weaving techniques to evade his opponents. Rarely does he strike out with his saber, for he only uses it to block blaster bolts. Ro, on the other hand, being the wild and crazy guy he is, borders on aggression. He destroys droids left and right with a look of a cross between glee and blind rage on his face. Korthan has in the meantime worked his way near Qet’fin-Dohr and they spot each other.
Qet’fin-Dohr is surrounded on all sides by battle droids closing in. He closes his eyes and extends his arms out to each side of him. His arms give a jolt and he spins a complete rotation, pushing every droid back away from him in the process.
Qet'fin-Dohr tells the Jedi they must go back inside. Korthan spins away, ducking and dodging a few bolts. He finds Ro and motions to the door. Ro does not want to leave the fight, but Korthan gives a nod in Qet’fin-Dohr’s direction. Ro understands, retracts his saber, and they both go back inside the base.

We are far enough along that we are doing a few animatic storyboarding here and there to get an idea of what the final battle will be like. The battle scene will be shot on site and we hope to be able to merge the cg with the real life well. If you know alot about camera matching, we could use you too! I hope this thread and its pictures will inspire some of you to help out with the project...
