elapsus 09-24-2009, 07:28 PM HI!
I'm Marc Alvarez, and this is my first short film done in Master MA ISCA (Spain), I finished it 2 years ago, but till now couldn't upload. Hope you like it. And, of course, C&C are WELCOME!!

Since you said it's your first piece then that's understandable. I mean all the areas could use improvement from the texturing (it seems like there's barely any bump maps/normal maps at all and it all looks like it's blinn shaded) to the modeling (many things have straight hard edges when all things in nature have a beveled edge if not VERY slightly beveled) to the animation (very still poses, odd animations for character acting and the neck makes the character seem like he has a stick in his back + very little polished facial animation) to the continuity errors (like the gas main that's broken open in the first scene is not gushing in any other scenes) and finally the camera work where there are some very oddly keyframed movements which I feel like you need to think about WHY you're adding a camera move there instead of a static cam or one that doesn't do such odd movements.
Overall though I'm not trying to say it's a bad piece, just could use a bit of peer review. I enjoyed the storyline albeit it was a little hacked together. Reminded me of...what was it Hypercube I think? Well the entire Cube trilogy really. Good work, hope to see more of your pieces as you progress.

Thanks Daemonecles for your comments. I'll try to improve in all the areas you said in my next short/work. It's great to find profesionals who tell you the mistakes you've made, because its very difficult to see for yourself.
Again, thanks you very much for helping me grow.
