Greets! The Court Jester is pinging for work!

The ultrashort resume facts:

Over 10 years in production from cable access work to CGI/FX on "A" title games like Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. (Six titles shipped over four years with Westwood.) Westwood's pipeline was very Hollywood style, where I worked with and learned from Emmy-nominated colleagues. (http://www.pixelsmack.com)

Fluent in LightWave 7.5 and AfterEffects 5.5, with some experience in Maya 3.x, FilmBox and others. I'm experienced in data translation between LightWave, Maya and Max, using Okino Polytrans and The Beaver Project.

I have a STRONG aptitude for hackery. Got a problem? I'll figure out a way to get it done, no matter how excruciatingly twisted. And I don't give up easily. See This (http://www.altyna.com/lw/specrefl.htm) for evidence. The "Q35 Jumpjet landing in rain " segment on my reel uses this hack.

I have a STRONG interest in upgrading my Maya skills, with a particular interest in taking up shader writing for its various renderers.

Completely mobile, and willing to relocate in the continental United States.

Canadian Citizen, U.S. resident with green card. (No INS worries!) The latter does mean I cannot accept employment outside North America at this time.

While I plan to send out an extended reel on VHS to select companies with the highest degree of compatibility, I'm posting the shorty reel here for those who'd like a peek at what I can do, right now:

Demo Reel. 4.1 (http://www.altyna.com/portfolio/anims/dr41.avi) (DIVX only (http://www.divx.com)) 16MB 640x480

Portfolio Page (http://www.altyna.com/portfolio/)

Please note that the port page is not yet completely up to date, in particular with respect to my current contract. (Note also that design isn't my strong suit either.) I plan to update it in the fall during a break in my current contract. But if you can't wait, email me at bdeep ATSIGN altyna DOT com, and I'll answer any questions you may have.

I am currently engaged in a technical direction capacity, on a contract basis. While I am on contract to the end of January 2004, I am free to make a switch on one month's notice to the current client, and will do so for the right opportunity. (This is all with full knowledge and approval of the client.) Stability is a major consideration, so full-time is preferred. That being said, truly challenging contract offers will get a good look too!
