We're about to set up a bigger production pipeline than we're used to and I was just curious how you guys use reference scenes, when you got many people involved in the project working side by side in the development.
I mean if the guys doing the shading are working on their scene-file at the same time as the animators are doing their thing, the fur-guy needs to do some adjustments and suddenly the director wants changes on the model...
I.e: Does anyone have experience on having a kind of reference network where everyone can do their thing and the render dept only brings in a bunch of referenced scenes and hit render?
We use to have the whole rig in one scene and bring that in as a reference in the animation scene, and that works fine working just 4-5 guys on the project (except for the excessive scene size;)), but now we are about to embark on a substantially much larger project and need to know from someone with experience.
Feel free to share your experiences and thoughts!
