You Are Right! was cut short somehow and didn't notice - fixed now, i hope (main forum page still show the "max" title).

Well it seems a lot was done for this release as one can see in this post over at their forum - http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32629 (you need to log in though, i think)
What i like best is the improved IBL Lighting, Thin SSS, Color Multilight, Better AGS and IES Lights!
As a user since the Alpha i would have expected that this feature set will be provided for version 1.x and not as a new paying upgrade.

That's quite an update to be sure. Good to see they're still making speed enhancements (though at what cost, I wonder).

Speed improvements, but I see a lot of improvements done on the look too,
from color accuarcy,surface fidelity,etc...
So does that mean previous version of maxwell were not totally accurate ? I thought it was the purpose of maxwell. Why wait hours for a render if it's not even accurate, any other renderer
can do the same in less time then.
