View Full Version : Transfering models between apps.

What are some of the things I should be worried about in terms of compatability and future problems in the pipeline? I absolutely hate Maya for modelling. Could I model in Max then bring the model over in .obj?

if you are accustomed to modeling in one package, but need to use another as well, then .obj is a great go-between format. It is simple raw geometry that it records, and I frequently use it to 'clean' meshes (export then re-import) to make sure there isn't any extra un-needed information.
