View Full Version : Weird message when starting Maya

Upon starting Maya this morning, the Output window popped up with an error message.

"***** Error: file: D:/Documents/maya/4.5/prefs/userPrefs.mel line 6: Value too low: 0"

What does that mean and how bad is it? Can it be fixed or do I have to reinstall Maya?

I'm not an expert... but I know for sure that if you delete your Preferences folder, it will start you out with a fresh slate.

So just navigate to D:/Documents/maya/4.5/prefs

and delete the prefs folder (or change the name of it... probably safer incase something somehow goes wrong)


But just shut down maya... delete that folder, and start it back up, and you should be ready to roll :)
