This may be a little off topic, but I know someone in this crowd may be able to help.

This is a brain fart on my part but maybe someone could help...........? I use the Adobe CS4 suite, with Illustrator on a vista machine and a HP photosmart 7760 printer. I was trying to get the highest resolution possible out of my printer using the Illustrator print setup window and somehow my printer cycles through now but prints nothing. It does work in other programs though.

I need high resolution vector printing that Illustrator provides. Other programs rasterize, which isn't sufficient for my purposes. I tried deleting all the presets and rebooted Illustrator, but no luck there. So the simple question is this. Is there a way to reset Illustrator to it's factory settings without having to do a full re-install. Those settings worked, until I started messing with them. TIA

Holding down Shift+Ctrl+Alt on startup will delete all preferences and restore to default. Alternatively, go to App Data>Adobe Illustrator and delete (or copy then delete the file if there's something there you want to bring back) the AIPrefs file. Restart.
