2D illustration: Tiger Woods

Really great work! Ive seen Tiger on TV hundreds of times and those all look like him very accurately except to me the middle one looks like his face is longer than usual. I also don't like the typography in that you go from capital T, lowercase iger, but then WOODS is all capitalized. The colors are fantastic though, very vivid. Congrats on the commission! Now go celebrate...

Nice painting! I simply love your style, reminds me of the way Drew Struzan paints. The collage style works really well, and conveys the message with bravour.

I don't like the text much though, seems to blend in with the background. But overall it's a wonderful picture!

hello^^ thanks for the replies guys! i really appreciate them.

hmm.... come to think of it, yeah the words dont really look that good. i put it that way to emphasize 'woods', when we say his name, we usually will say 'tiger' softer and faster, and 'woods' slightly heavier and longer. also, 'woods' is the family name, which is i think more important. nevertheless, i only got 3 days to finish the piece b4 deadline.... ^^;;;

haha, the words blending into the background are done purposely, bcoz it's not that important. the main focus of the illustration here is the potrait itself. the typo is just to 'hold' the piece together....if u know wat i mean ^^;

yeah, i drew this piece based on Drew Struzan's style. actually, i get inspiration fron starwars-episode 1 poster which was hanging on my wall then. i am a big fan of Drew Struzan. his art are simply amazing:) i have a collection of his work in photograph which i keep looking and studying time to time ^^
